There is a specific type of person to whom a 660-horsepower supercar, like the no-nonsense Ferrari Enzo, just doesn’t cut it. Thankfully, Ferrari was more than happy to cater to that power-crazed crowd as well when it rolled out the ballistic FXX in 2005, permitting you had enough extra dough. And surprise, surprise! Listed at Florida’s Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale, this 2005 Ferrari FXX Evoluzione wears a nicely liveried Rosso Scuderia red exterior finish, and is said to have been meticulously maintained by Ferrari’s own Corse Clienti engineers, so you can overlook that whole lack of mileage detail.
Ferrari developed the FXX program as part of a research and development project to improve the breed’s road cars and mature new technologies within the company’s racing division. As such, only 30 FXX vehicles were produced, intended for track-use only, each outputting a staggering 800 horsepower.
However, that wasn’t quite enough and Ferrari introduced the Evoluzione Package (at a cost of $300,000), which turned the 6.3-liter V12’s power all the way up to an eye-watering 860 horsepower. Additionally, shift response in the FXX’s F1-style gearbox quickened to a mere 60 milliseconds and downforce increased by 25 percent – in the process creating the most formidable track-day weapon in the world.

The price for this circuit-spec assault on your senses? $2,190,000, which is frankly a lot of money to spend on a used car that will never see public roads … legally. Then again, you wouldn’t exactly pop over to the grocery store in what’s basically a prototype race car.
