2015 Range Rover Sport SVR: The Most Powerful Land Rover Ever
If you were waiting for a Landy you could toss around a race track, wait no longer. This is the Range Rover Sport SVR, and it’s what Land Rover is calling the “most dynamically focused” SUV they’ve ever built. But what makes this one so different? Well off the bat, it’s the most powerful Land Rover ever built. So there's that. The supercharged 5.0-liter V8 puts out 550 horsepower, which is 40 horses more than the standard Range Rover Sport. Along with this added power boost comes a sport-tuned automatic transmission and a stiffer suspension. It all accounts for a 0-60 mph time of 4.5 seconds, and a limited top speed of 162 mph. To make sure that all this power doesn’t go to waste, engineers added a Dynamic Active Rear Locking Differential that “locks earlier and to an increased extent.” In layman's terms — it gets this big SUV around corners with less fuss. Other new features include Brembo brakes, an improved Active-Roll Control system (which helps with all that body roll), and aluminum-intensive sports suspension with upgraded bushings.

To the tune of $100,475, you can own the world’s sportiest Land Rover. It officially makes its debut on Aug. 14, at Pebble Beach, but with a $925 destination fee, you can put down some cash for it this week.
