A Car Plowed into Comic Con Zombie Walk, Causing Serious Injuries [Video]
Police in San Diego have their investigative and PR work cut out for them this morning after a car plowed through a busy intersection outside of Comic Con San Diego, leaving one woman seriously injured. The incident occurred during what’s known as a zombie walk, which saw hundreds of Comic Con visitors don costumes and face paint to stroll from the San Diego Convention Center to the city’s Gaslamp Quarter.

The sequence of events is still unclear, but reports indicate that the black Honda Civic involved in the incident waited for the undead parade to pass at the intersection for around 10 minutes, until it began inching forward.
At around 5:30pm, the driver started to honk at passersby and some of the zombies began to yell and sit on the front of the sedan, allegedly scaring the couple sitting upfront and their two children in the back, who were all deaf. The driver then accelerated through the crowd, hitting pedestrians and leaving one woman with a broken arm. A zombie even stood on the hood of the car and smashed the windshield, allegedly so the driver couldn’t continue any further.
The driver proceeded down the street for around three blocks with multiple people giving chase until he pulled over upon seeing a police officer.
On one hand, you simply can’t plow your way through a crowded city intersection, but on the other, dressing like the undead and attacking the hood of a car isn’t exactly condonable behavior.
