See the Mythical 5,000HP Devel Sixteen in Action [Video]
The Devel Sixteen is a supercar, from Dubai, that supposedly develops an eye popping 5,000 horsepower, and hits a top speed of 350 mph. This Iron Man inspired sports car has only been seen in limited action. In this video from 2013, dug up by our friends at Motor Authority, the Devel Sixteen can be seen out in the wild of Dubai stretching its legs. "Of course, at an estimated 5,000 horsepower we're bound to be skeptical. And the exhaust note doesn't sound half as terrifying as we expected it to be," they say.
When it was introduced at the Dubai Auto Show in November of last year, (which is when the video appears to have been shot), initial press reports stated the Deval Sixteen gets its power from a sixteen-cylinder engine. It also can leap from 0-60 mph in only 1.8 seconds. The only thing that would be close, for the sake of comparison, is the 2002 Lingenfelter Chevrolet Corvette, which was clocked at 1.97 seconds, according to Zeroto60Times.com.

Of course, at this point, it's a leap of faith if this sportscar will ever be built and if it can back up its horsepower claims. It is a distinct looking car with a price tag of $1 million. That may sound like a lot but it's only $200 per horsepower. The Ferrari F12berlinetta at 731 horsepower is $435 per horsepower.
