A Pair of Challenger Hellcats do 1,414hp Burnouts
The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is a truly special car – you just can’t argue with 707-horsepower. But put two Hellcats together on one strip of tarmac and you’re either going to have: (A) a race, or (B) smoky burnouts. Thanks to Car and Driver, we have the latter. The motoring magazine got their mitts on a pair of Hellcats and proceeded to gasify their rear tires with what looks like no trouble at all. And that noise! That’s one heck of an engine. Chrysler’s supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 spins up a staggering 67hp more than the current Viper. Might want to stuff that big trunk with spare rubber, and maybe the rear seat too.
