2014 Pikes Peak Hill Climb: Live Coverage [w/Video]
This year we’ve partnered with Erix Audio to bring you an all inclusive pit pass of this year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb presented by The Broadmoor Hotel. And it’s going to be gnarly. Starting off with qualifying. While we did see Mike Ryan and his 2,000+ horsepower Freightliner meet the side of the mountain, the rest of the racers came off scot free and made a run towards the top of the pack. The Unlimited Class came in with the fastest time, with Romain Durmas at the top of the pack: Romain Durmas - Fastest Qualifier Car: Norma M20 RD Class: Unlimited Time: 3:37.525 Other notable qualifying runs came from the Mitusbishi MiEV Evolution III duo that will be starting in second (Greg Tracy, 3:48.208), and third position in the Electric Modified class. Michael Skeen and his GT-R qualified first in the Open Class as well. PHOTOS: See More of the Mitsubishi i-MiEV Evolution Racer

We had initially planned to live stream the race right here on the site, but unfortunately, a number of factors prevented us from doing so. For now, you can head to the Pikes Peak site, and for $20, watch the whole race with no limits. Thankfully, we will still be bringing you live audio from the mountain as soon as we have that available. Stay tuned!
For now, watch the video below to see just what it's like to climb the hill from the back of Greg Tracy's Mitsubishi MiEV Evolution:
