Sneak a Technical Peek at the Lamborghini Huracan [w/Video]
Want proof the all-new Lamborghini Huracan is set to be an epic one-up to the Gallardo? Take a look at the video below. In this clip, Lamborghini delves into its new car’s biggest technical advancements, and boy does they look promising. Lambo aimed to keep the Huracan’s weight to a minimum, and through the use of a joint carbon-aluminum chassis and lightweight aluminum front and rear axles – weight is kept at an impressive 3,135 lbs.

We also get an inside look at how the Huracan plans on shifting its weight and managing its power. The car comes equipped with three steering ratios that coincide with each driving mode – Corsa, Sport, and Strada – dialing up or down input based on situation. The Huracan also allows for power vectoring between the front and rear axles as well. Standard distribution is set at 30/70 (front/rear), but drivers can shift it forward to 50/50, or send all the power to just the rear wheels.
Inside, everything looks a lot more Aventador-y – a very good thing – and who can find fault with that bombastic engine: Lambo’s 5.2-liter free-breathing V10, which cranks out 610-horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque.
