Hardcore McLaren P1 Track Version in the Works
As if the McLaren P1 wasn't hard-core enough, apparently McLaren wants to build one that’s even more capable on the track. With the LaFerrari XX track version inevitably off in the near future, it only makes sense for British supercar maker to be dreaming up a rival of its own. According to Autocar, a number of letters were mailed to current P1 owners informing them of a very limited run of P1 track vehicles. The track car would features new aerodynamics, a lighter weight, and more power on top of its 903 horses, to make it even more capable on a race course. Although no exact details have been given.

The new McLaren P1 Track would only be available to purchase for current P1 owners, and would remain in McLaren possession until owners wanted to take it for a track day, same as the Ferrari XX models.
How much this track-focused P1 will cost, or exactly how much power it will throw down has yet to be determined. But considering how capable the standard P1 road car already is, we can’t wait to see something even more so (if that’s even possible).
