Bugatti Introduces Special Edition Veyron Black Bess, Aimed at Chinese Market
Tacky and expensive is something that the Chinese auto market knows all too well. And Bugatti knows this too, with its new Veyron Black Bess being the perfect candidate when it goes on display at the Beijing Auto Show later this month– go figure. Where the standard Veyron skimps in carbon fiber, Havanna leather, and gold accents, the Black Bess special edition makes up exponentially. Engineered with Bugatti’s classic Type 18 “Black Bess” in mind, this ultra supercar doesn’t slack on looks or power, or a little bit of heritage. On the outside, the Bugatti is covered in a thin sheet of carbon fiber, coated in black paint, and given gold accents for effect. The wheels are also coated in the black stuff. Inside, on the other hand, the tackiness is toned down just such, not to take away from the light beige Havanna leather, and racing embroidery about.
Naturally, the same quad-turbo 8.0L W16 will be fitted under the hood with 1,200 horsepower on tap and a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) time of only 2.6 seconds.

This special edition will mark the fifth of six that Bugatti has released to the public. While the Black Bess edition will be on display at the Beijing Auto Show beginning April 20th, the sixth and final special edition should be unveiled later this year at the Paris Motor Show.
