International Bus Converted into Luxury RV is DIY at its Best
Have you ever thought about buying or renting one of those massive, bus-sized RVs and then realized how expensive it was? You may have been going about it all wrong, as one group of folks have converted a school bus into a luxury RV in one of the most epic do-it-yourself projects that we’ve ever seen. GoodNewsBus purchased a 1995 International Genesis School Bus back in 2009. International (or IC) school buses are built on an International truck chassis. The latter company is related to the former International Harvester, who built our beloved Scout and Scout II SUVs in the 1960s and 1970s.

This school bus, on the other hand, ferried kids around for over a decade before the folks at GoodNewsBus stepped in. They proceeded to modify the body so that it was no longer yellow and so that the middle segment of windows were covered. They then gutted the interior and began to install something truly amazing.

We’ve seen some school buses turned into party limos, but we’d rather have the polished wood panels that were installed throughout. The crew installed tables, a full kitchen dinette, and a bathroom with a shower.

The builders of this luxury school bus used stainless steel fixtures and appliances, stone tile countertops, and even installed a flatscreen or two throughout.
The combination of finished hardwood and track lighting is unbelievable. It is hard to realize that those green vinyl seats we all sat in used to be where this luxury bus exists now. Hardhats-off to the folks at GoodNewsBus for building this exceptionally Bold Ride!
