David Brown Automotive Promises New Luxury British Sportscar
In the world of luxury British sportscars, Aston Martin rules the game (for the most part). But TVR, Morgan, and a few others are hoping to make a secondary impact in this newly expanding market. Now there may be one more automaker gunning for the Aston crown — David Brown Automotive. For you historians, you may remember that in 1947, tractor builder David Brown purchased the then struggling Aston Martin and built the Lagonda. Unfortunately, this isn't one in the same. The newest David Brown promises to "...refresh the classic British sportscar, for the 21st century." PHOTOS: See More of the 2013 Aston Martin Vanquish
With a team headed by former Land Rover chief designer Alan Mobberley, and with backing by Envisage Group (the party responsible for the Lyonheart K), Brown hopes his new automaker will make a splash.
No details yet on exactly what this car will look like or what will be under the hood. But we do know that the new car will be on display by April of this year.
