Auction of the Week: Actress's 1970 Chevelle Benefits Typhoon Victims
Angel Locsin is an International Emmy Award-winning Filipina actress, as well as a model, film producer and designer. She's also a fan of muscle cars. When the devastation wreaked by Supertyphoon Yolanda attracted international attention, Locsin decided to offer up her 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle to help the relief effort. According to Top Gear Phillipines, Locsin imported the 1970 Chevrolet Chevellefrom San Francisco, California, two years ago.
The car is reportedly in "near mint" condition. Here's what we can gather from an Instagram picture of the car posted online: It's a non-SS 1970 Chevelle, with an SS hood and white SS stripes.

The non-SS details carry over to the interior, which shows the standard Malibu speedometer. It appears that the car also has air conditioning, judging by the vents under the dash.
The original plan was for the car to be sold to a direct buyer with the proceeds going to the Sagip Kapamilya foundation. Sagip Kapamilya is the emergency humanitarian assistance program of ABS-CBN Foundation, Inc., providing food and non-food relief to affected communities of disasters, as well as engaging in rehabilitation and disaster risk reduction projects.
There's no link on the foundation's website for the auction quite yet, but we'll keep you posted when it's live.
