Ralph Lauren's $40M Bugatti Takes Top Honors at Concorso d'Eleganza
Ralph Lauren is a man of many faces- designer, entrepreneur, billionaire; but most importantly, owner of the most expensive Bugatti in the world. A 1938 stunner of a 57SC Atlantic Coupe, former winner of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Estimated at somewhere around $40M, this would make Lauren's Bugatti the most expensive one ever- overtaking the previous $30-40M which sold at auction back in 2010. In case you forget, only four of these elegant pieces of machinery were ever made. With the Concorso d'Eleganza drawing in some of the wealthiest crowds, other multi-million dollar rides like a 1928 Mercedes-Benz 680S Saoutchik roadster, and a 1978 Lancia Silibo were also in attendance. And taking home the prize for most stunning modern-day concept car was the re-bodied Alfa Romeo Disco Volanto Touring.
