Icona Vulcano Supercar Blazes in Shanghai
While it's safe to say some of you spent a good portion of yesterday dolled up on the couch with some munchies and solid Cheech and Chong flick, the fellas over at Icona have been burning with a sexy new joint of their own- the Vulcano. A 900-hp one-off supercar that is hot as hell. Literally.
Yes, you've probably never heard of Icona. And because they've never really done anything in the past. The up-and-coming automaker has only been around since 2010 and have been hard at work on the Vulcano since then- with a few others in-between. But their latest and greatest supercar- the Vulcano- is powered by a 900-hp V12 that manages 60 mph in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph. But if all that power is frightening enough to lead you astray, fear not, Icona allows you a toned-down version with only about 870-hp. Yeah, only.
In general, the design takes some angular cues from Ferrari and Lexus, but overall presents a unique new aspect to the "one-off" department. A sharp front end paired to some fastback styling and all topped off with a menacing rear-end. A really pretty thing, if we do say so ourselves. The Vulcano is expected to go on sale, um, eventually for a price of [insert dollar signs here]- but for now, just enjoy this Icona is all of its flaming glory. PHOTOS: See more of the Icona Vulcano
