Ten Enthusiast-Made "Harlem Shake" Videos

Holy crap, this "Harlem Shake" thing is out of control. It might be the meme to end all memes. Consider that this is not just one person "planking" or "Tebowing" in a public place. You have to convince an entire group of people to get on board and get weird. Luckily for the viewer, the tuner/biker/motorsport crowd is rife with such individuals, and we now have a slew of videos to show you. Some are good. Some are bad. All are watchable. APR Edition:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lj6TnfcH9qQ We have to give it up for the solid collection of cars, and generally sticking to the Harlem Shake formula of one guy to start, and a locked-off shot. When you mix up the formula, it detracts. You'll see what we mean in a second. Tofu Drift Idiot Version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnHpfxBL_Z8 We give them props for the name, but something about messing with the formula detracts. Points for the Deadmau5 head. That seems to strike at the heard of H-Shake culture. Los Angeles bum Motorcycle Version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kgkq0TLR5w4 A homeless person starts it off? That will more than suffice. Stay-Puff Marshmallow Man and controlled burnouts also are more than acceptable. Hoonigan RX7 Edition: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3tjLRdMPak Easily our favorite starting-dude. Aside from being generally awesome, he's nailed the choreography from the first Harlem Shake YouTube video. Props to the kid for sitting and air humping in front of a car mid-burnout. Jeff Gordon Edition: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shJBFyct2XE We already showed you this one, but it bears re-showing. Compared to some hacks out there, this is a pretty well-orchestrated H-Shake. We're sure some young-gun Pepsi Max marketing rep thought this up, but still– not bad. Daily Routine Edition: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoW_cjLEbhk We suppose this is in the spirit of the original only in that it is weird. Parking Garage Drifting Version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NjqK84JMiw Ditto. Also, that dog must have been scared shitless. We would too if we didn't know why we were wearing a rainbow boa and being humped by a dude in a tuxedo spanex suit. Ponder that for a moment. Okay, moving along... Mustang Burnout Edition: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7YhRKftGN4 This was done by Latemodel Restoration. I have to imagine only one person in that video even knew what this was all about. Still, props for the burnouts, forklift, and boxed boxers. That part was classic. Lonely Motorcyclist Edition: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omLfppIrSR0 You can tell from the moves that he gets the Harlem Shake, but he's doing it by himself, which means that he either has no friends, or all of his friends have more self respect. Jesus, we can't end on that. Car Show Version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iD7lfLy-THY That's it! There is a man in a duck suit air humping while standing on a car with "YOLO" painted on the hood. I think the internet just ate itself. Also, everyone managed to pull off acting nonchalant in front of the camera before the beat dropped. As these videos have shown, that's a lot harder than it seems apparently. This one is worth several watches to take in all the players- great job!
