2013 Sebring Art Looks Much Better than Modern F1 Art

Just look at that promotional artwork for Sebring International Raceway. It is the cover of the 2013 media guide, and it is terrific throwback promotional art. Look at the grid! There’s a DeltaWing! And a C6R! And a Viper! It’s amazing, and it sure beats the pants off the current Formula 1 promotional art. We get it, you are the pinnacle of auto racing and have the most advanced cars, but can’t we turn the clock back on F1 promo art that way that Sebring has? Here is the promo art for the 2012 European Grand Prix. It’s cool, but is pretty stale compared to the lively Sebring poster.

Also consider how amazing F1 once were. This may be promotional art from the 1961 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but you get the picture (pun, intended). F1 posters were just like this – colorful, vibrant, entertaining.

Also, this author happens to own a massive copy of this 24h poster, so feel free to direct any questions on how to decorate like a man this way...
