eBay Car of the Week: This "Museum Worthy" 1987 Shelby Lancer

This somewhat rare 1987 Shelby Lancer is up for bids on eBay right now until October 17th. Sporting a rather thrifty $29,000 price tag, this museum worthy piece could be sitting in your driveway.

About this Car While the name may be a bit obscure to see plastered in and around a 1987 Dodge Lancer, believe it or not, Shelby did manage to pull off some rather Frankenstein-esque side projects in-between being the go-to Mustang projects. Creating 800 of these special make Lancer’s -400 with manual, 400 with automatic- it came standard with the Graphic Red paint scheme seen here, and with a 2.2L 4-cylinder turbo engine, this was the Chrysler group's (supposed) answer to the BMW 5-Series. What the Seller Says About It This special edition Shelby is number 6 of 800, and was one of the first made available to the public after numbers 1-5 were most likely reserved for Chrysler execs. Incurring only 22 miles on the road, this brand new never registered Lancer sits as good as it did on showrooms floors in 1987. Completely original interior, instruments, seats, steering wheel and exterior paint, this Shelby Lancer is “a true museum worthy piece of history,” or so the seller thinks. Want It?
