2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 With a Side of Special Editions
Usually, when a Jeep special edition comes out, one might shrug it off as just another in a long line of Jeep special edition. Recently though, we got word of the new 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8's unveiling and it did come with two rather interesting special editions entitled Alpine and Vapor, and those sounded awesome. As a rule, we love the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, but these additions just might be the icing on the cake. Cool names aside, the two special editions come with some new aesthetics that will make your eyeballs extremely happy. The Alpine starts off with a bright white monochrome paint job (thus the name), new monochrome black five spoke SRT rims and an upgraded gloss black grille. The Vapor on the other hand is a bit meaner. Using the same monochrome paint, the Vapor finds itself coated in a candy black paint job and sitting on the same five spoke SRT wheels.
While we would have enjoyed to find some ridiculously powerful engine underneath the hood, it keeps the standard, yet still addictively entertaining 6.4L, 470-hp V8. It can even get to sixty in about 4.8 seconds.
Price for this beautiful monster sits at about $62K, which is just a tad more than the standard SRT8, but hey, coming off a monumental month of sales, Chrysler deserves a little more icing and a cherry on top of their celebratory cake.
