Nissan Juke Gets the Nismo Treatment

Let's face it, none of us will ever get behind the wheel of the Nissan Juke-R. Maybe it's the ridiculous $600,000 price tag, or maybe it's the hideous looks. Thankfully, Nissan created a solution for the every man craving a faster Juke. Meet the Juke Nismo.  Or the NiJukesmo for short.

That's right, Nismo. The same guys who brought you the gorgeous Nismo 370Z and others have now done some work on the fun-loving Juke. Although we did get to see the Jukenis-mo concept last year at the Tokyo Motor Show, Nissan is all set to unveil the production ready model later this week at Le Mans.

Power for this Juke is derived from the standard 1.6L engine with a Nismo upgrade pushing it to 188-hp. To give it more of a sporty feel, they added a stiffened suspension, new steering mods and enhanced traction control.

Along with new power, the NismUke comes in with some striking new looks. Like the usual sharp lines of the Nismo group, the JuNismoke has received a new aerodynamic body kit complete with new front and rear wings, side skirts and tuner favorite, LED running lights. The Juke Nismo, or Jukissimo in Italian, is set to hit the European market by early 2013 with the U.S. and Japanese markets following soon after. See more of the Nissan Juke Nismo here
