Puritalia Teases A Shelby Look-a-Like

In today's auto market anyone and their mother is a supercar maker. Companies come out of the woodwork and make ridiculous claims about 0-60 times, top speeds and stunning looks, but after a year or so they get the axe due to big name bullies. This one on the other hand could be something a bit more special. New supercar maker Puritalia wants to be the next in line to compete with corporate neighbors over at Lamborghini and Ferrari. What makes the Puritalia supercar stand out over other brands is their use of a Shelby Cobra 427 as a base with the "American muscle meeting the Italian design." Like the original Cobra, the Puritalia will get a two-seater layout and a 427 cubic inch V8 under the hood. A supercharged engine with some tuning will be good for 600-hp after the base 445-hp roadster debuts. Puritalia has been pretty tight lipped on their new project, but with a 29 day countdown on their site, along with a teaser photo, leaves us in supercar anticipation.
