Bold Meets New: Shelby GT500CS Convertible by Retrobuilt

Most classic cars are love at first sight, but dig a little deeper and you will soon see that you would never be able to actually own one. They are too impractical, too unreliable and too hard to maintain. So what's the best solution if you need your classic muscle car fix without all the classic car drawbacks? Get a faux '69 Shelby of course! Retrobuilt specializes in bringing classic cars back to life without all the drawbacks. Their most recent project comes in the form of the stunning, officially designated Shelby GT500CS convertible. For the cost of a donor car (any 2005-2012 Mustang) and some man hours they will transform your boring 2000s Mustang into a classic.

The exterior comes complete with new fiberglass body panels and plenty of minor details like retro chromed trim, taillight covers and door handles. Other features include HID headlights, Shelby styled taillights, vinyl striping and a Shelby wheel package. This particular model derived from a 2007 Mustang GT with a 4.6L 300-hp V8 on tap mounted to a five-speed manual transmission.
