Event Highlight: Bugatti Blanc Noir at the 2012 New York Auto Show

There’s late night, up all night, dark night and now...here's "White Night." Yeah, White Night. The Bugatti Blanc Noir (or White Night) is currently on display at the 2012 New York International Auto Show. It's been one of the most photographed rides there for obvious reasons - it's a showstopper. BoldRide sat down with Evan Cygler of Miller Motorcars to get the ‘deets’ on this beast of a machine. All Bugattis are assembled in Molsheim, France a few make it to this continent. This limited edition model, the "Blanc Noir" is a rare one-off supercar since it was the first car Bugatti imported into North America and the second off the Grand Sport production line. With a total of 85 cars left to be built, the starting price for one of these bad boys is $1.9MM. Yes, starting price. But hey, at least the pictures are free.

The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Blanc Noir’s name has a literal translation meaning "White Black," but is referred to as the "White Night." We are not entirely sure why but who cares, it's packed with 1,001 horses, 4 turbo chargers and is capable of a top speed of 250mph. It is one of the world's ultimate supercars, assuming you can find a place to drive it.

The Grand Sport has a great amount of carbon fiber construction. This is seen in the body underneath the paint, in the rear diffuser and pretty much everywhere throughout the vehicle. The trunk space within the Blanc Noir is anything but big. What one might actually put in the trunk of a Supercar is anyone's guess.

The roof comes off and there's an included umbrella in case you get stuck the rain. This umbrella folds out and inserts into four sockets on the roof. The pole on the umbrella disengages and acts as a soft top, so your hair will stay absolutely perfect if it does start raining. Another detail to note, there are two gas caps - one on either side. A lot of people don't know that. The car doesn't have two gas tanks, but the gas cap on the left is functional, whereas the gas cap on the right is purely for design and symmetry. If someone you know happens to have an absurd amount of spare change and is interested in the Blanc Noir, contact Miller Motorcars. It's on sale for $2.4MM. Well, not really on sale, but still.
