eBay Car of the Week: 1971 Datsun Z-Series
This 1971 Datsun Z is on eBay through April 1st (the current bid is $24,000 but the reserve has not been met) About this Car The 1970 through the mid-1971 model year 240Z was referred to as the Series I. These early cars had many subtle but notable features differing from later cars. The most easily visible difference is that these early cars had a chrome "240Z" badge on the sail pillar, and two horizontal vents in the rear hatch below the glass molding providing flow through ventilation. In mid-1971, for the Series II 240Z cars, the sail pillar emblems were restyled with just the letter "Z" placed in a circular vented emblem, and the vents were eliminated from the hatch panel of the car. What the seller said about it This car is insanely fast! It's a streetable car running on a street tune. It has always had a conservative tune estimated to be 450-500hp; this is a guess as the car has not been dynoed. The stock RB26 bottom ends are stated to be capable of withstanding 600hp and driven daily. The N1 Turbos are rated for 360hp per turbo. The motor was imported and reported to have less than 45k KM and the compression is good and it runs very well. The odometer showed 43K miles prior to the motor swap, since then it has had less than 1k miles on the new motor. Want it? See the full listing for this 1971 Datsun Z-Series by clicking here
