Pagani To Ramp Up Huayra Production
NEW - March 2012. Information Below. Following seven years of development, the Pagani Huayra is about the enter production. The stunning Italian supercar was one of the stars of the last years edition of the Geneva Motor Show. Pagani was able to write down 85 confirmed orders for the Huayra ‒ achieving the targets for production, turnover and profits. This year Pagani is set to produce 25 Huayras and another 40 will follow in 2013. The first deliveries will be made in April. The Pagani Huayra is powered by a Mercedes-AMG twin-turbo V12. Displacement is 5980cc and power peaks at 700 horsepower and 1000Nm of torque. Quite impressive is the fact the the Pagani Huayra has the lowest CO2 emissions and fuel consumption of any 12-cylinder sportscar. The 700.000 km of dynamic tests have been completed in a variety of climatic conditions with five prototypes, confirming the expectations regarding reliability and performance that Pagani Automobili and its technical partners targeted. In November 2011 The Pagani Huayra received its Euro 5 emission certification and now they are working on homologation for the American market. The first US spec Pagani Huayras, certified according to the highest US safety as well as California's emission standards, will be delivered in 2013.
