Cadillac will package together popular options for buyers.
Cadillac wants to make the 2017 ATS and CTS more enticing to customers by improving the equipment on both vehicles. Now, the new Carbon Black sport package lets buyers combine some sporty design flourishes, too. It's even available on the ATS-V and CTS-V. The specific changes vary among models, but all of them feature dark accents for a more aggressive look.
On the ATS, the Carbon Black pack updates the model's styling by fitting a black chrome grille, a matching applique on the rear fascia, black side window trim, body-color door handles, the V-Series rear spoiler, and After Midnight-colored wheels. Inside, carbon fiber trim and Recaro front seats create a sporty cabin. The ATS-V gets all of these design upgrades and has the popular carbon fiber body kit that tweaks the front splitter, hood vent trim, rear diffuser, side sills, and also adds a taller rear spoiler. Drivers grip a suede-covered steering wheel and gearshift.
The CTS follows the same design motif. The sedan features a black chrome grille, V-Series spoiler, and After Midnight wheels. There’s carbon fiber trim inside, too, but the model gets the improved seats from the V Sport. Recaros are an option – except for the top V-Sport Premium, which gets them standard.
The CTS-V has the same exterior tweaks as the regular sedan and also gets the carbon fiber body kit which updates the front splitter, hood vent trim, rear diffuser, and adds a taller rear spoiler. Inside, V-Series performance seats are standard with the Carbon Black package. The Recaros and suede-covered parts are optional, though.
Cadillac spokesperson Steve Martin told Motor1 that the company created the Carbon Black pack to combine together already popular options like the carbon fiber kit and dark wheels. The automaker will announce pricing later, and the 2017 ATS and CTS will begin production this summer.
