We round up all videos released by Mercedes-AMG with its latest gem, the GT R. It's our favorite type of a green car.

Following its premiere yesterday at Brooklands track in U.K, the Mercedes-AMG GT R is back in a series of videos giving us the opportunity to take a closer look at its “AMG green hell magno” paint applied on a more aggressive body. Developed using technology derived from the track-only GT3 race car, the road-going model is better in just about every way than the former flagship version, the GT S.

Mercedes-AMG’s engineers have managed to bump power, shave weight, and install new features such as rear-wheel steering and active aerodynamics to make the GT R more nimble and quicker both around the corners and on straights. That they most certainly did, with the 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) sprint now taking a mere 3.6 seconds and top speed rated at a respectable 198 mph (318 kph.)

None other than Lewis Hamilton was on location to help Mercedes-AMG launch the third member of the GT which won’t be the last. Tobias Moers, head of Mercedes-AMG, told us during the GT R’s reveal the plan is to further expand the lineup by adding new road-going and track-only models. Although he didn’t wish to elaborate, chances are one of the models in the pipeline is a roadster which remains to be seen whether it will spawn a more hardcore R version as well.

Further down the line, Mercedes-AMG will likely bring back the “Black Series” badge for the ultimate GT version with even more power wrapped in a lighter package. Taking into account the R won’t go on sale in Europe until November, the Black Series edition is unlikely to come out sooner than 2018.

Below you will find all of the videos released by Mercedes-AMG with the GT R.
