Novitec Rosso has turned the Ferrari 488 GTB into an absolute rocket that hits 100 kph in only 2.8 seconds.

Ferrari’s biturbo 488 GTB is already a beast with its 3.9-liter V8 engine pushing out a massive 670 horsepower (492 kilowatts) and 561 pound-feet (760 newton meters) of torque. The aftermarket specialists from Novitec Rosso decided to demonstrate there’s room for improvement and managed to extract 102 hp (76 kW) and 97 lb-ft (132 Nm) from that engine to achieve a grand total of 772 hp (568 kW) and 658 lb-ft (892 Nm).

With significantly more power than the standard car, Novitec Rosso’s tuned 488 GTB will run the sprint to 62 mph (100 kph) in just 2.8 seconds, thus making it 0.2 seconds quicker than the stock prancing horse. Top speed has also been considerably increased from the series 205 mph (330 kph) to 212 mph (342 kph).

In order to achieve these numbers, the tuners fiddled with the V8’s electronics and re-mapped the injection and ignition systems along with making some changes to the electronic boost pressure control. On top of that, there’s a new performance exhaust system which delivers a more appealing soundtrack to match the added muscle of the tuned biturbo engine. Novitec Rosso mentions its engineers have also improved the supercar’s throttle response and there’s now more intense in-gear acceleration for even more performance regardless of selected gear.

To further accentuate the Ferrari 488 GTB’s extra punch, a more aerodynamic body kit has been developed with numerous carbon fiber bits and pieces to keep the weight low. The rear lights have received a dark tint and the car now rides 40 mm lower than before thanks to Novitec Rosso’s custom hydraulic suspension which retains the standard active damper control.

Rounding off the list of changes are the black 21-inch forged wheels with high-performance Pirelli rubbers measuring 255/30 ZR 21 at the front axle and 325/25 ZR 21 at the back. If you want to go all out, the tuner also has a set of 22-inch wheels with corresponding tires that will obviously cost extra.

While pics of the cabin have not been released in this set, Novitec Rosso does have numerous customization options to choose from, ranging from carbon fiber paddle shifters to a wide variety leather and Alcantara upholsteries.
