Honda Australia is introducing an optional Black Pack for the brand new 2016 Civic.
The tenth-generation Civic is set to go on sale in Australia next month, but Honda is already giving buyers more possibilities in terms of customizing the compact sedan. It’s called the “Black Pack” and as the name implies, it brings a series of black accents for all five trims across the range. These include 17-inch wheels, front under spoiler, front grille, side skirts, side mirror caps, and also a black look for the trunk lid spoiler.
Pricing varies depending on the trim you go for, so for the VTi, VTi-S, VTi-L and VTi-LX you pay $2,998. It’s important to mention the wheels of the VTi and VTi-S trims are upsized from the standard 16 inches to 17 inches if you order the Black Pack. However, the weird thing is Honda Australia will charge you extra for a set of matching tires.
If you are placing an order for the new Civic in the RS trim, the optional Black Pack will set you back only $2,298. That’s because this version already has the black front grille and rear trunk spoiler, so it wouldn’t make sense to pay the full price of the kit.
Honda Australia has announced it has received so far around 200 pre-orders for the new Civic and expects the number to grow to about 300 by the end of May.
