Vilner is celebrating its 20th anniversary by introducing a heavily customized Shelby Mustang GT500 Super Snake.
The Sofia-based specialist has reached an important milestone in its history and has decided to celebrate it properly by working on a 2013 Shelby Mustang GT500 Super Snake belonging to a client from Romania. Basically everything inside the cabin has been modified, with the exception of the silver dashboard panel, gear lever ball, and the door handles. The owner requested a beige leather upholstery combined with black Alcantara while some of the bits and pieces have a glossy lacquered carbon finish.
To spice things up, red contrast stitching has been applied throughout the cabin, including on the snake logos, seatbelts, and on the matching leather bags inside the trunk. Moreover, Vilner says all of the hard plastics inside have received a suede-like texture which is not only soft, but it will also withstand the test of time.
This particular car also benefits from additional sound-deadening material in some of the cabin’s key areas which now feature extra panels and pads created specifically for this project. Vilner mentions the owner can still hear the roar of the supercharged 5.8-liter V8 engine that pushes out 850 horsepower (634 kilowatts) and 613 pound-feet (830 newton meters) of torque.
One of the 500 units ever made, the 2013 Shelby Mustang GT500 Super Snake has plenty of other goodies inside, including carbon fiber frames for the sport seatbelt’s holes and an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheels. The same material was also used to dress up the steering column, transmission tunnel, along with some parts of the door panels.
There’s no word about the price tag, but you can imagine it wasn’t exactly cheap given all of the customizations implemented on the inside. As it’s the case with most of Vilner’s projects, the body was left untouched so it has the same lovely cherry red finish with white stripes.
