Features a turbocharged 1.5-liter petrol engine.
MG has unveiled the Euro-spec GS crossover at the London Motor Show.
Described as a "striking new addition to the UK model range," the crossover closely echoes the Chinese variant which was unveiled at the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show. MG didn't have much to say about the changes but the only noticeable difference appears to be blacked out A-pillars.
The company is keeping specifications under wraps but confirmed the Euro-spec GS will be offered in three different trim levels and all will be powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter petrol engine. There's no word on how powerful the engine is but it can be paired to the company's first automatic transmission.
According to MG Sales and Marketing boss Matthew Cheyne, "When considering transmissions and engine choices, we listened to our customers and looked at market trends. It’s not only a momentous occasion to unveil our first SUV, it is also a significant moment to announce our first automatic – something many of our customers have been waiting for, and so we’re thrilled to be offering it to them.”
Pricing and performance specifications will be released next month but MG says the model will be affordable and have pricing structures that are easy to understand.
