The truck is slated to go on sale this fall.

Ford is gearing up for the launch of the 2017 F-150 Raptor by announcing plans to release a six-part series which shows "why F-150 Raptor is the ultimate high-performance off-road pickup truck."

Filmed in the Mojave Desert, the monthly series will focus on several keys areas including the "F-150 Raptor’s jaw-dropping off-road agility and capability," the truck's BF Goodrich KO2 tires, and the model's Terrain Management System.  The remaining videos will highlight the truck's suspension, design, and off-road capability.

The 2017 F-150 Raptor will go on sale this fall and be available in SuperCab and SuperCrew configurations.  Both models feature an aggressive front bumper, LED headlights, and a silver skid plate.  Other highlights include front fender vents, extended fender flares, and a mesh grille with "Ford" lettering.  Last but not least, buyers will find a unique tailgate, an exclusive dual exhaust system, and 17-inch alloy wheels with the aforementioned BF Goodrich KO2 tires.

Power is provided by a new 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that produces more than 411 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque.  It will be connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission and a new four-wheel-drive system with a torque-on-demand transfer case.
