Limited edition bike costs $1,585.

BMW is celebrating the launch of the M2 Coupe by introducing the new Cruise M Bike Limited Edition.

Drawing inspiration from the 365 horsepower coupe, the bike is dressed exclusively in Long Beach Blue metallic paint and features a hydro-formed aluminum frame with a distinctive “bullneck” that is reminiscent of the tank position on a motorcycle.  The bike also has smooth welded seams, Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, and 28-inch wheels.  Other highlights include a 30-gear drive system as well as a carbon fiber seat post and spacer that enable the bike to be strong and lightweight.  A closer inspection reveals BMW and M badging as well as a specially made plaque that identifies the model as a "BMW M Bike Limited Edition."

Production will be limited to 1,500 units and the bike will be available at select BMW retail partners.  Unfortunately, the model won't come cheap as pricing begins at $1,585 (€1,400).

While it might sound strange that BMW would release a bike to celebrate the launch of the M2 Coupe, the company has been making bicycles for over 60 years and says it helps to turn bike riding into a "very special experience."
