BMW is celebrating its centenary with a special statue.

The organizers of this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed have announced BMW will be the Central Feature during the event.

BMW is celebrating its centenary in 2016 with several programs and special events during the year and as a part of the celebrations, the German brand will be the the so-called Central Feature during the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed that will take place in June.

The Central Feature is the main object during the festival through the years that “dominates the Goodwood skyline.” In the past, we’ve seen different sculptures, dedicated to different brands and celebrations – 50 years of Ferrari, 90 years of Audi, 50 years of Porsche, etc.

In a video, highlighting all the previous FOS sculptures, we see some teaser images of BMW’s monument for this year. It’s difficult to say what’s coming, but it seems like the company is preparing a statue that includes several race cars.

The official site of the event tells us BMW will bring a “mouth-watering” lineup of cars and bikes to Goodwood. The selection includes the 1940 Mille Miglia winning 328 Superleggara, the 1999 Le Mans winning V12 LMR, and the 1983 Formula One World Championship winning Brabham-BMW BT52, as well as the Isle of Man TT dominating S1000 RR bike.
