Jaguar has released a new promotional video which features Fast and Furious star Michelle Rodriguez driving the new F-Type SVR.
Filmed on a closed highway in the Nevada desert, the clip shows Rodriguez hitting an indicated top speed of 201 miles per hour. This is slightly above the car's official top speed of 200 mph.
According to Rodriguez "Driving this car was insane! I've now broken my personal speed record in the beautiful Jaguar F-Type SVR." She went on say "Reaching 201 mph felt amazing, the car drove really smoothly, all my corrections were minimal, I was super focused, and it really reacted in all the right ways. I don't think I'd ever go this fast without a professional driver seated next to me, but oh man, it was an incredible feeling."
As a refresher, the F-Type SVR was introduced earlier this year with a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that develops 575 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds.
The Jaguar F-Type SVR will begin arriving at U.S. dealerships this summer. Pricing starts at $125,950 for the coupe and $128,800 for the convertible variant - excluding a $995 destination/handling fee.
