Nissan has announced the 2016 Titan XD Crew Cab equipped with the 5.6-liter V8 gasoline engine carries a starting price of $35,290, excluding $1,195 destination and handling.

Available in five trim levels and both 4x2 and 4x4 configurations, the gasoline Endurance V8 is mated exclusively to a seven-speed automatic transmission benefiting from downshift rev-matching technology. The engine delivers 390 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque compared to the 5.0-liter V8 turbodiesel Cummins that has 310 hp and 555 lb-ft. Besides the two V8 engines, Nissan will also offer an undisclosed V6 gasoline engine set to arrive at a later date only for the non-XD Titan.

Nissan is already taking orders for the 2016 Titan XD while the 2017 Titan is slated to hit dealerships across the United States this summer. Initially, the 2017 Titan will be available only as a Crew Cab model, but Single and King Cab variants will be launched later within the same model year.

Both Titans are currently being showcased in New York where Nissan also has the spectacular Titan Warrior concept and the mildly facelifted 2017 GT-R.
