German tuner mcchip-dkr is introducing a massive power boost program tailored to the BMW 220i.

The turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is now available with two power upgrades created for those unsatisfied with the standard 184 horsepower (135 kilowatts) and 200 pound-feet (270 newton meters) output. The stage 1 kit lifts power to 255 hp (188 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) in exchange for €1,099.

Once the upgrade is implemented, the 220i will be able to achieve a top speed of 155 mph (250 kph) whereas the standard 220i can do 146 mph (235 kph). There’s no word about the 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) sprint, but it should take a tad less than the seven seconds needed by a stock 220i Coupe.

If this isn’t enough, mcchip-dkr also has a stage 2 kit that increases power figures to 320 hp (235 kW) and 321 lb-ft (435 Nm) which makes it almost as strong as an M235i Coupe. It costs €6,399 and will enable the 220i reach a top speed of 161 mph (260 kph) thanks also to an upgraded turbocharger and a custom exhaust system.

Besides the two-stage power kit, the BMW 220i Coupe by mcchip-dkr has also received custom 19-inch alloy wheels and a KW coilover variant 3 suspension. Rounding off the changes is the body vinyl wrap which according to the tuner accentuates the car’s “remarkable character.”
