Koenigsegg is keeping itself busy these days in Geneva where aside from the Agera One of 1 and the production Regera, the Swedes also have on display an Agera RS painted in Loke Yellow.
You are looking at the fastest-selling Koenigsegg ever as the entire production run of 25 units was exhausted in just ten months. What’s even more impressive is the fact that 10 cars were sold before the Agera RS received its official public reveal.
So, what are those 25 buyers getting? A supercar motivated by a biturbo 5.0-liter V8 engine producing 1,160 horsepower (865 kilowatts) and a monstrous 945 pound-feet (1,280 Nm) of torque. It weighs only 2,854 pounds (1,295 kg, dry) which is 77 lbs (35 kg) less than the Agera R and generates 1,069 lbs (485 kg) of downforce at 124 mph (200 kph), up by 408 lbs (185 kg.)
Featuring a removable hard top, the Agera RS is fully street legal and in select markets can be configured to run on E85 fuel which will enable the V8 engine to develop even more power.
It uses a paddle-shift, seven-speed gearbox working together with an electronic differential to send all that power to the 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels. In order to stop efficiently, Koenigsegg has equipped the Agera RS with ventilated ceramic discs at both axles with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers.
Koenigsegg says all 25 cars will be manufactured this year and the last ones are going to be delivered in 2017.
