Maserati has released a teaser image of the Levante SUV slated to go official in about two weeks from now at the 86th Geneva Motor Show.

Unsurprisingly, the teaser only comes to confirm what we saw back in June last year when a series of patent designs hit the web. The front end will be very aggressive with a prominent hexagonal grille connected to sleek headlights featuring LED strips of daytime running lights up top. Recent spy shots have shown the Levante will have an almost coupe-like profile and hopefully this won’t hamper rear headroom.

It will be offered with assortment of biturbo V6 and V8 engines sourced from the Quattroporte, but possibly with a different state of tune. Maserati’s first SUV will obviously be available with the company’s proprietary Q4 all-wheel-drive system working together with ZF’s eight-speed automatic transmission.

We will have live images of the Levante at the beginning of March when Maserati will (finally) show its high-performance SUV in Geneva.

Note: There are some images floating around the Internet showing the interior of what the respective websites are saying is the Levante. However, that’s NOT true as the pics are of a 2015 Quattroporte modified by Qualcomm and displayed at last year’s Consumer Electronics Show.
