The first owners to take delivery of the monstrous Aston Martin Vulcan had the privilege to receive lessons from an experienced team of racing drivers.

It happened last week on the famous Abu Dhabi Formula 1 circuit where Vulcan owners received driving instruction in the road-going V12 Vantage S and the track-only Vantage GT4 before driving their prized possessions. These people are among the 24 buyers that paid no less than $2.3M for the Vulcan, Gaydon’s ultimate race car.

Vulcan customers were tested throughout the day and into the night as a way to fully experience the car in various conditions. Aston Martin Racing works’ driver Darren Turner was in charge of the team responsible for training Vulcan owners which have embarked on a three-year driver experience program.

Aston Martin has also shared a spicy detail about the Vulcan, revealing the exact output of the engine: 820 horsepower (611 kilowatts). Up until this moment, we only knew the naturally-aspirated 7.0-liter V12 engine had more than 800 hp, so now it’s nice to have an exact number.

The Vulcan has already hit the used car market, but the price has jumped by $1.1M to an eye-watering $3.4M. In exchange you’ll get a Fiamma Red example currently located in North Olmsted, Ohio. It’s actually the first unit to arrive in United States and you might remember it from that extensive photo gallery we published in November 2015.
