Audi has dropped fresh promotional footage with its newest addition to the RS7 Sportback family, a Performance version bringing even more power.

Us men don’t really like to express our emotions, let alone cry. However, Audi’s latest and greatest RS7 is so fast that it will make the person behind the wheel cry tears of joy after pressing down the accelerator pedal. That’s what the guys from Ingolstadt are trying to say with their new “Tear Drop” ad released this weekend by Audi USA.

With 605 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque on tap, the Audi RS7 Performance needs a mere 3.6 seconds to run the 0-60 miles per hour (0-96 kilometers per hour) sprint before it tops out at 190 mph (305 kph). As if the immense power wasn’t already enough, the high-performance and sexy Sportback has an overboost function that will temporarily raise torque to a monstrous 553 lb-ft.

Optimal traction is granted by the standard quattro all-wheel drive system receiving the engine’s power through a standard eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox. The added oomph is matched by carbon ceramic brakes providing the necessary stopping power for the bespoke 21-inch alloy wheels.

The RS7 Performance went on sale in December and carries a starting price of $129,000 in United States where you will also have to pay an extra $925 for taxes and other fees.

As a final note, the exact same configuration of the biturbo 4.0-liter V8 can also be found in the S8 plus which is a tad cheaper at $114,900.
