The good folks over at OmniAuto.it have sent us their latest render which previews the Fiat Tipo wagon due to arrive later this year.

Several days ago our spies caught the Tipo wagon performing final testing rounds in Italy and now OmniAuto decided to imagine what’s hiding underneath the body camouflage. It’s actually not that hard to figure out since the front half will basically be the same as seen on the Tipo Sedan. It will be combined with an elongated rear end to create a more spacious trunk and fill in the gap left after the Stilo Multiwagon's demise.

Speaking of trunks, the sedan has a cargo capacity of 18.3 cubic feet (520 liters) with the rear seats in position, so the wagon should provide at least 19.4 - 19.7 cu. ft. (550 - 560 liters). The shape of the trunk and taillights will have more in common with the upcoming hatchback rather than the sedan and there will also be a roof-mounted spoiler hosting the third brake light.

The engine lineup is not a secret since it will be basically the same as the Tipo Sedan. This means buyers will have the option of getting naturally-aspirated 1.4- or 1.6-liter gasoline engines or one of the two 1.3- and 1.6-liter MultiJet II turbodiesels. Five- and six-speed manual gearboxes along with a six-speed automatic will be offered, depending on engine selection.

We will have to wait a little bit to see the Turkey-built Tipo wagon as it will likely be revealed in the second half of the year, after the hatchback’s debut.
