Audi is infusing even more power in the RS Q3 by launching a “performance” version packing no less than 367 horsepower.

When Audi facelifted the RS Q3 back in 2014, it tweaked the turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine to squeeze an extra 30 horsepower and 30 newton meters. The bump in output dialed the motor to 340 hp (250 kW) and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm). Now, Audi’s engineers have revised the engine once again and in “performance” guise it develops 367 hp (270 kW) and 343 lb-ft (465 Nm). If these figures seem familiar, that’s because the RS3 Sportback has the exact same engine specification.

Thanks to the added oomph, the Audi RS Q3 performance is now capable of running the sprint to 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in 4.4 seconds, thus making it 0.4 seconds quicker than before. While the standard RS Q3 comes with a 155-mph electronic top speed limiter, the performance version will top out at 167.8 mph (270 kph).

Besides gaining more muscle, the new iteration of the high-performance crossover benefits from a sport-tuned seven-speed S tronic transmission which ensures a more exciting drive. It also has a slightly revised body with a modified front bumper hosting larger air inlets, while the rear bumper is home to a prominent diffuser. Some of the bits and pieces come with a titanium look and Audi is also adding an Ascari blue metallic body paint.

Already available in Germany for €61,000 ($67,626), the Audi RS Q3 performance will receive its public debut in Geneva next month and will start reaching customers in the second quarter of the year.
