GMC is spicing up the 2016 Sierra lineup by rolling out a special edition of the All Terrain model.

Looking as if it’s ready to tackle the apocalypse, the Sierra All Terrain X adopts a sinister appearance that can be applied onto the 4WD crew cab/short box models with SLT trim. If you are not a big fan of the all-black look, GMC will sell the special edition in a variety of other body colors which will all be combined with black side steps, bed-mounted sport bar, and side mirrors.

It comes nicely equipped with LED headlights and 18-inch black wheels wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac MT tires measuring 265/65R18SL. More importantly, there’s a performance exhaust system bumping output of the 5.3-liter V8 engine by 10 horsepower to 365 horsepower and also granting a more aggressive soundtrack.

Just like with the other Sierra All Terrain models, the “X” variant has a four-wheel drive system with an Eaton locking differential. It also benefits from the Z71 off-road suspension and a Rear Park Assist system, while on the inside it has an inclinometer and an All Terrain logo. This latest special edition from GMC also comes with new floor liners, but that’s about it in terms of novelties for the interior.

The 2016 GMC Sierra All Terrain X is programmed to go on sale this spring at a yet undisclosed price tag.
