Apollo Automobil GmbH has published a teaser image of its “brand new Apollo” set to premiere in March at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.

It’s a little bit tricky to figure out what the teaser is actually showing, but we are inclined to believe in the center of the image lies the exhaust tip. To the left there’s something going upwards and most likely it is a carbon fiber rear wing. This means the car will have high-mounted exhaust tips, but that’s not really surprising taking into account previous Apollo versions.

Based on these findings, it’s safe to say the new supercar codenamed “Arrow” will remain mid-engined and will continue to send the engine’s power to the rear wheels. Just to remind you of how insane the Apollo was back in its day, there was a track-only R version launched in 2012 that had 848 horsepower and weighed only 2,425 pounds (1,100 kilograms).

What we’re trying to say is that Gumpert, now Apollo Automobil GmbH, is capable of great things and hopefully the new Apollo will continue the tradition. This time around, the new owners better have a viable business plan to avoid going bust like the previous ones.

The 86th Geneva Motor Show will open its doors on March 3, so the new Apollo could be revealed online as early as next month.
