The all-new Mercedes E Class Estate has been caught on camera recently by our spies, prior to the model’s arrival in the second half of this year.

We are just a few days away from the long-awaited reveal of the E Class Sedan (W213), but we will have to wait a little bit more for its more practical brother. It’s really not that hard to imagine what is hiding underneath the camouflage taking into account the obvious similarities between the C Sedan and the E Sedan. As a consequence, it’s pretty much safe to extrapolate and assume the E Estate will look like a bigger version of the C Estate.

As for the interior, the new E will have more in common with the S Class and it will boast the very familiar 12.3-inch dual-screen layout on all versions, except for the base trim. Since we have footage of the estate, the cargo capacity is what really matters. On the outgoing model it stands at a rather massive 24.5 cubic feet (695 liters) with the rear seats in place and 68.86 cu. ft. (1,950 liters) once you fold them down. These numbers could actually grow since the new E will be bigger to distance from the C which itself had to grow to make room for the CLA.

While the E Sedan is due next week at the North American International Auto Show, the Mercedes E Estate could debut early March in Geneva or in October at Paris Motor Show.
