Nissan has established a Brazilian website designed specifically for the upcoming production-ready Kicks crossover.

The Kicks concept made its debut at the 2014 Sao Paulo Motor Show, so it makes sense that Nissan has decided to kick off (no pun intended) a teaser campaign through a .br website.

It will actually be produced in Brazil starting later this year at the Resende Industrial Complex where it will be built alongside the Versa and March / Micra. Nissan Brazil is investing $192 million and hiring 600 new employees to get the factory ready for making the Kicks. It will be sold initially only in Latin America, but other regions are being considered.

The new teaser shows the crossover’s side profile and it seems the production version will stay true to the concept. Technical specifications are rather scarce at this point, but it is believed Nissan will utilize the V-Platform and is going to sell the Kicks with a 1.8-liter flex-fuel engine teamed to a manual or a continuously variable transmission.

If you are wondering about the crossover’s size, we remind you the concept was 169 inches (4,300 millimeters) long, 71 inches (1,800 mm) wide, 63 inches (1,600 mm) tall, and had a 103-inch (2,620 mm) wheelbase.

Nissan is set to unveil the Kicks in production guise in the following months, with sales to kick off in the second half of the year.
