General Motors offers a variety of different crossovers but a recent report is indicating we can expect a couple of new additions.

Citing company insiders, The Detroit Bureau is reporting Chevrolet could offer a new crossover to slot between the Equinox and Traverse.  That's not a lot of room for a new model to fit into but the report says the next-generation Equinox will move down-market, while the next Traverse will move up-market.  This would give the all-new model some breathing room and a chance to standout from its counterparts.

Not much is known about the proposed model but the publication is reporting it will ride on the same platform that underpins the Cadillac XT5 as well as the next-generation Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, and GMC Acadia.  The new model is also slated to have a third row of seats so it can compete with the Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander.

In related news, The Detroit Bureau is reporting Cadillac has approved yet another crossover.  The latest model will reportedly be an entry-level crossover that targets the Mercedes GLA and the Infiniti QX30.  The model will be joined by two other new crossovers which are expected to include a Mercedes GLC competitor as well as a more upscale model to slot between the XT5 and Escalade.
