If you are a fan of the F&F series, you certainly remember the white Jetta that Jesse drove in Race Wars in the first film of the franchise. The car is now owned by actor Frankie Muniz and will be auctioned without reserve next month by Barrett-Jackson. It’s signed by Chad Lindberg (the actor who played Jessie), movie director Rob Cohen, and also by the late Paul Walker.

Under the hood it packs a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine linked to a four-speed automatic transmission, so it’s not really fast and furious. It comes with numerous body graphics and a black interior cabin featuring a custom stereo and a PlayStation 2.

It will be interesting to see whether the ongoing Fast and Furious hype will boost the value of what is essentially a mostly-stock and humble 1995 VW Jetta. We will have to wait a little bit for the car to hit the auction block in Scottsdale, Arizona during the Barrett-Jackson event set for January 23-31.

As for the movie franchise, the eighth installment is set for an April 14, 2017 release and will be followed by two additional films before the saga will (finally) come to an end. However, that might not actually be the F&F’s epilogue as a spin-off with Hobbs (played by Dwayne Johnson) is being considered.
