Fiat Brazil has released a new image with the Toro, this time showing the rear end of the new pickup.

About two months ago, Fiat’s Brazilian division released an official image with the Toro’s front fascia and now we get to check out the rear end. The tailgate’s split opening kind of reminds us of the Lincoln Blackwood and the mechanism is hiding behind that massive FIAT logo which is probably visible from the moon.

As you would expect from an official pic, Fiat is showing us a range-topping model fitted with all the bells and whistles. It’s the version equipped with a 170-hp 2.0 16v Multijet turbodiesel sending power to a 4x4 setup through a nine-speed automatic transmission. The Toro seen here rides on 18-inch alloy wheels and comes with plenty of kit such as an off-road suspension, xenon headlights, parking sensors, Hill Descent Control, and other goodies.

The compact pickup truck is destined to hit markets in South America early next year taking into account production has already kicked off in Brazil. It’s not known at this point whether Fiat has plans to sell the Toro elsewhere, like in Europe or North America.

Another interesting pickup truck restricted to South America is the Renault Duster Oroch. As with the Toro, there's no word yet about a possible launch in other markets.
