We have stumbled upon a new video with the Genesis G90 that focuses mostly on the interior cabin.

Hyundai’s first real stab at the premium segment is the G90 which is part of a new standalone luxury marque labeled “Genesis.” This range-topping model is more than a facelifted Equus as it has gone through a vast array of changes. You will notice it has plenty of rear legroom and that’s because the wheelbase has been stretched by a significant 4.5 inches (115 mm). Should the available space not suffice, an extended wheelbase model is in the works and will be out in the months to come.

It might not have what it takes to have a serious impact on the German domination, but for a first attempt it’s a notable product. Hyundai, or should we say Genesis, will sell this with three gasoline engines: 3.8 GDI, 3.3 T-GDI, and 5.0 GDI. The real news is that turbo engine which represents a new development and comes with 365 hp (272 kW) and 377 lb-ft (510 Nm). According to the man who uploaded this clip, a diesel engine will join the range in 2016.

The reason why this car is labeled “EQ900” is because it’s the KDM-spec model, whereas the international version will bear the “G90” moniker. Rear-wheel drive is going to be standard, but customers will be able to opt for an AWD system available at an additional cost.

The G90 is actually just the tip of the iceberg for the newly founded Genesis brand as 5 other models will be launched within the next 5 years.
